Life & Death of the Medusa, costumed performance with two performers, 7 min, 2025
Performance in the form of a ritual in which I birth twin snakes and then proceed to kill them. Informed by ancient serpent deities associated with fertility, death and renewal, the piece embodies ideas about bestiality, birthing, rejection and shame. Costumes and masks with snake-shaped ceramic details, a pile of earth, a water jug, candles and an improvised gong.
