Ten hand-modelled stoneware pieces shaped to resemble the bones of Pleistocene megafauna lay over a floor-length bed of plant charcoal. The sculptures are treated with oxides to appear weathered. Ceiling lights have been dimmed using NDF gels, lowering objects' color temperature. A narrative text is written with charcoal on the gallery walls.
Translation of the text on the wall:
The remains of immense men rose from the cornfield:
a tibia, followed by a fibula.
A giant’s thigh bone was dug up from a well.
Vestiges with a horrible appearance,
monsters that fed on acorns and leaves.
Frightened they fled to the mountains
and, in the depth of the forest,
they pulled down the trees.
We then killed them all,
and the continents writhed in their foundations
so that no one would remember their names.
