An animated narrative poem that follows tropical parasite Ñ613 who is invited to work at the fictitious Centre for Tropical Type Infections. This narrative work reflects my experience as an ‘outsider’ visiting and attempting to gain insight into WCAIR’s process and work on the protozoan parasite, Trypanosoma cruzi which causes Chagas disease, affecting people primarily in Latin America. WCAIR helps to tackle the urgent unmet medical need and lack of drug discovery research for Neglected Tropical Diseases. The project also garners research into English language biases embedded within typographic design and digital communication technologies.
